Project Overview:

Create a self guided online learning experience to help new and experienced philanthropists understand the most effective giving practices. The online course was developed from the content of our print publications Guide to Effective Philanthropy, and the Philanthropy Toolkit.

My Role:

The Problem

At the time of this projects conception both publications were living as very static online learning modules on our WP site. We knew that to get more engagement and to have more impact with our content we needed to make it engaging, and interactive.

Goals

  • Combine the content from both the Guide, and the Toolkit into more condensed, and straightforward online learning experience
  • Create an online learning experience that is both interactive, and informative
  • Create videos, quizzes, forms, and other interactive content to engage our users

Creative Process

1. Research: I conducted competitive analysis, and research on the target audience to gain a better understanding of their needs. I researched multiple platforms and plugins to see which products could help us accomplish our goal efficiently.

2. Content Development: Collaborated with my team develop content copy, sketched, and user tested several different wireframes designs.

3. Digital Design: After reviewing the sketches, I started developing a digital mockup of the learning course using LearnDash, and a variety of other plugins to help accomplish our desired results

4. Refinement: I did multiple rounds of user testing with a variety of philanthropic advisors, and philanthropists. I refined the course based on the feedback and made adjustments to ensure it was an intuitive learning experience for our target market.

5. Finalization: I delivered a nine module learning course, and developed a nine week marketing rollout on LinkedIn to promote our learning course

The Solution

Deliver a self-paced online learning experience that informs users about effective philanthropic practices. By utilizing interactive elements, and videos we created a fun and informative online course.
